Mid July update

The 4th of July at the Jersey Shore was far too short. I think we needed at least two more days. There was good food, good wine, good people and conversation and the weather was excellent. Though, we did get distracted, here and there, with distasteful Michael Jackson Jokes, the "Two Girls One Cup" video, and the TED video of the pig orgasm/insemination ...... you had to be there ..........

Nicholas's birthday party went really well. It was at "Shake - A - Leg" in Coconut Grove by the bay (next door to Monty Trainers). We had use of 3 sailboats and the captains and assistants are all volunteers. Nick's mom ordered too much food (as usual for our family).... we had assorted finger sandwiches and pastries from Gilbert's Bakery, Shorty's BBQ ribs, chicken, coleslaw and baked beans, then ended it with a cream filled birthday cake.

Kendall's exhibition of Elizabeth Taylor posters continues at the Old Miami Beach City Hall until the end of the month. He is showing 100 out of his 400 poster collection. It documents Ms. Taylors full film career and the artistry of the posters ... including many from other countries. The opening night was well attended .... Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower, Mr and Mrs Astor, Valentino from Twist, Mr. S, Photographer Dale Stine, Cinamteque owner Dana, and many others.

This week Mr and Mrs Astor celebrate and anniversary .... CONGRATS!!!!

Tommy Decker has a birthday on Saturday 7/18 and DJ Leo Pino has a birthday on 7/21 .....

My little sis and the girls are headed to Las Vegas for the weekend and Mom will be going to Puerto Rico for two weeks at the end of the month. Nicholas is in sailing summer camp right now, so all seems to be chugging along. I will be helping Mr. S. finish some projects before I get completely distracted with the youth events I am planning for the fall. I start work on those in two weeks .... that is not including the stuff I need to get started on for 2010 Winter Party Festival and the Task Force's Miami Recognition Dinner coming up in October.

Well....have a good week!
