Lady Bunny performed at Twist on South Beach last night. I was going to go home early after a sociable afternoon and a morning of errands, but then got caught up in the whirlwind of seeing Larry and David and just went with it. I felt like I was being passed on from one person to another. I had some good conversations with the boys and did sternly state to an admirer that my eyes are only focused on one person (and he was not there..he had a long day at work).
"The" Mrs. Astor and Mr. Riley looked like they had a great time. It is good to see people enjoy themselves without any distractions. As Mrs Astor stated today: "What a night; and I didn't even feel pain today."
The show is all that you would expect from Lady Bunny. Sharp tongue, wit and comments that would make the devil blush. No one was exempt and no topic was taboo. It was gracious for Adora to share her one night. No wigs were flying, but there was a noticeable bit of competition for the spotlight. It was what it was...a night of laughter and entertainment with an appreciative crowd.
