Well, it is Good Friday (for those of you who are not Christian, it is the day we recognize as the day of the Crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ.) My personal meditations started on Thursday and have been fasting since then, which will end at sundown today. (It's my own personal thing.)
And as luck would have it, I am cooking for Mr. S at his place tonight. (He's cooked for me the last two Fridays.) On Saturday we are going to see "GrindHouse" then go to the Palace to support Miss Tiffany Fantasia Phillips and guests in a fundraiser for Prideline. It is a good organization that assists and supports LGBT Youth.
Sunday is Easter (the day we recognize as the Resurrection of Jesus Christ) and Mr. S is going to church with me and then back to my house for the family and family friends Easter Lunch. We are making a version of 'Asopado de Mariscos" (we are making a thick yellow rice soup with shrimp, scallops and lobster). It is the first time he is going to meet my mom and sis face to face. So, as some that know me can guess, I have been in hyper OCD mode. I have been up late cleaning and I went overboard and pulled everything out of the closets. Needless to say, I have been spending more time putting things back. The good thing is that I de-cluttered a bit and got rid of a bunch of clothes and stuff we do not need or use anymore. (It is all gone to people that need or could use them .... I only threw away unusable items.) I guess cleaning can be meditative it did fall into the right time and Easter is a time of renewal.
