Jay a.k.a Stanley is leaving us for the state of Georgia. I got to spend some time with him this week at a little gathering at Larry and David's place. In the small world we live in, it ended up that my friend, Aixa, was the human resources person at the Manderin when he was hired as a Chef. They both have only good things to say about each other.
Jay has been a good friend. He has always given me strait forward and honest impressions and advice. We have had laughs, conversations, tears, and the occasional debate. I know we are going to keep in touch, but his presence will be missed.
Some of the snowbirds that were down for the season were also at the gathering. They are also headed back North. They take with them many stories and some new friendships. I wish them all safe travel.
